Roberto Palomba, architect and designer internationally renowned, lives and works in Milan.
In 1994 he founded with Ludovica Serafini Palomba Serafini Associati; the studio develops interior/ exhibit/industrial design and architecture projects worldwide.
He is strategic consultant and art director for several historical design companies, collaborating with leading international brands such as Boffi, Cappellini, Dornbracht, Driade, Bow, Elmar, Exteta, Flaminia, Foscarini, Kos, Laufen Lema, Plank, Poltrona Frau, Sawaya & Moroni, Samsung, Talenti, Tubes, Viccarbe, Zanotta, Zucchetti.
He has been lecturer at the Polytechnic of Milan (Degree in Industrial Design).

Raffaela Fagnoni | The Judging Commission
In territorial design, the function of the product (the knife for cutting or the lamp for lighting) loses importance compared to the more meaningful ability to convey values. [...] The consecration as a typical product (agent of local identity, marker) leads to its cultural legitimisation, to elevate it as a sign and vestige [...] capable of evoking feelings, emotions and memories.

Architect, she has been a full professor at the Iuav University of Venice since December 2019, where she teaches in the Design Laboratories. She previously worked at the University of Genoa, Department of Architecture and Design, where she was a lecturer, researcher, coordinator of the master's degree course in Product and Event Design and coordinator of the PhD in Design. She has also engaged in teaching and research activities at other non-European universities (Teheran and Beijing). She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Design Society (SID).
Her research activity spans across four thematic areas: 1. Social, well-being, health; 2. territory, identity, culture; 3. recycling, reuse, processes, environment; 4. social innovation, making/haking, services, participation. She often operates and engages at the boundaries of the discipline and in activities aimed at experimenting with teaching and collaboration models. Among her most significant experiences is the research Me.Design.

Caterina Quartana | The Judging Commission
“Innovation makes of the craftsperson an extraordinary designer”
Caterina Quartana.
Caterina Quartana Textile Designer and university professor at the European Institute of Design, lives and works in Cagliari.
He attended the University of Florence, graduating in 2007 in Fashion Culture and Styling and specializing in Fabric Design. In 2009 he deepened his studies at the luxury academy, acquiring the title of Interior Designer.
In 2018 he inaugurated his concept store and laboratory in the heart of Cagliari and brings with him the experience gained from 2008 to today in the field of textiles and design. From 2015 he began his university career at the European Institute of Design in Cagliari, professor of textile culture.
